CAFOD commissioned this animation as part of their education and fundraising resources for young people, it tells the story of Florence, a woman from Zambia and one little fish in the pond that she set up to support her family.

I designed the main character (Bob) who comes in and out of the story as a link to their overall campaign concept of ‘turning small fish into big fish’ – using tracking and compositing techniques we incorporated frame by frame animated sequences into CAFOD’s footage to help tell the story.

For the underwater shots, ~Tom and I decided to create a rigged 3D version of the main character and overlay it on footage we shot at a local pond, we then used it as reference for the frame by frame sequence.
