With the creative direction of the visionary direction of The Office of Future Interactions (Matt Wade and Clair Neal) – I created several sequences for a couple of events at the National Gallery. One was for the NG200 Stories, where you could immerse yourself in 200 years of extraordinary National Gallery stories.
From a resident family of 14 and an intrepid travelling agent to ground-breaking scientists and a wartime pianist, NG Stories tells the history of the National Gallery through the people who made us what we are today.
Below is one of my favourite sequences, it illustrates how, in order to protect the works of art during the war, the National Gallery transported their collections to a mine in Wales. For the sequence we stitched dozens of archive pictures using Photoshop’s generative AI features, creating a super wide landscape that illustrates this journey from transport to storage and conservation.
Additional to the NG stories, we created several animated pieces for the Gallery’s new media screen on the newly refurbished Sainsbury Wing. An impressive 26,000 pixels wide array of screens where the quality and detail of the paintings displayed is beyond amazing!
